Regardless of when you leave the surgical center, the first 4 days after surgery are the most challenging in terms of pain management, wound care, and prevention of complications.  It is important for us to know that everything is progressing as planned and for you to know how to manage any problems that might arise.

As always, if you are having an emergency, call 911.

First of all, if there is any concern about an urgent issue, call 911.
If you are in significant pain, call Toni Gonzalez, CMA or Meranda Hawkins, CMA at 509.834.6247.  After hours, use 509.454.8888 and listen to the message for further instructions. You will be directed to the answering service. A doctor or PA will call you back.

Also, please take the time to fill out your daily pain surveys.  This helps us keep track of your pain experience, catch problems early, and manage issues that might arise.  This helps us keep track of our outcomes, improve your care, prevent complications, and improve care for the community.
